MAČAK Meta

MAČAK META, born on 5 February 1961 in Kranj, spent her childhood in Križe near Tržič. She finished high school in Kranj and continued her education at the Pedagogical Academy in Ljubljana, where she graduated in music education and choir conducting. She attended piano and solo singing classes. As a student, she led the Mladika Girls' Choir and sang in various choirs. Today she is employed at the SNG Opera in Ljubljana as an alto singer in the choir. She loves poetry, she published a collection of poems Listi plešejo v vetru (The Leaves Dance in the Wind). Composer Gašper Jereb set her song Tiha noč (Silent Night) to music.
