BERVAR Alenka
BERVAR Alenka (born 1963) attended music preparatory courses, studying rhythmics and recorder (block flute). She continued with lower music school, majoring in piano. Later she enrolled in the Maribor Secondary Music School, where she completed both Module A (music theory and solfège) and Module B (instrumental studies). She studied orchestral conducting at the Academy of Music in Belgrade and taught at the Faculty of Education in Maribor. She soon returned to teaching at the conservatory – for three years as conductor of the wind orchestra, and later as a professor of solfège. She also served for many years as head of the department for professional-theoretical subjects, while continuing to teach solfège, music theory, and conducting.
She has also published two poetry collections for children: Hecne pesmice (Silly Little Songs, 2018) in Ko mal'ca jezik kaže (When the Little One Sticks Out Their Tongue, 2025)
