VIDIC Samo

VIDIC Samo (2001) began his musical career with violin lessons and playing in the tamburitza orchestra, and since childhood he has been accompanied by singing - both in the family and in various choirs. He is (as of 2020) a student of composition with Uroš Rojko at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana. He began composing in the theoretical class of Črt Sojar Voglar at the Ljubljana Conservatory of Music and Ballet and received the Škerjanc Award of the institution for his work in 2020. He collaborates with many musical ensembles, such as: Slovenian Philharmonic Chamber String Orchestra (Godalni orkester Slovenske filharmonije), The Slovenian Mastersingers (Slovenski oktet), Crescendo Symphony Orchestra (Simfonični orkester Crescendo), Kranj Gymnasium Big Band (Big band gimnazije Kranj), Trio Les petits couchons, Duo Dendrocopos, Šmartno Tamburitza Orchestra (Tamburaški orkester Šmartno), Senožeti and Petrovi tamburaši (Senožeti in Petrovi tamburaši), Ivan Cankar Vocal Group (Vokalna skupina Ivan Cankar), etc.
