KLODIČ David [Davide Clodig]

KLODIČ David (Davide Clodig) (born April 9, 1974, Cividale del Friuli / Čedad, Italy), pianist, composer and pedagogue. He graduated in piano in 1999 from the Tomadini Conservatory in Udine.

He works as the principal of the Špeter bilingual (Slovenene/Italian) school and piano teacher at the Glasbena matica School in Špeter, where he also studied music at the beginning. He has been a choirmaster since 1995. For several years he has successfully conducted the choirs Naše vasi from Tipana, the Male Choir Matajur from Klenje, the vocal group Veneške korenine from Srednje and the Children's Choir of Glasbena matica Mali lujerji from Špeter. He also leads the male octet in Bardo (Terska dolina), which he founded in 2009. 

He also composes and arranges music for his and other choirs all the time. In the first competition for choral compositions for the Ignacij Ota Award in 2003. He published several children's compositions in the collection Pesmi iz vrtca (Čedad, 2005). He has also collaborated several times with the string quartet of the Glasbena matica. He is a versatile cultural and social worker; his role is indispensable in the Veneto-Friuli region. He encourages youth music groups and actively participates as a mentor in various workshops for young people in Veneto-Friuli and the Soča region.
