PÁEZ Franco Ezequiel
PÁEZ Franco Ezequiel was born on November 24, 1992 in Carlos Casares, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. At the age of ten, he began attending music lessons at Bellas Artes School in San Luis Province. From 2004 to 2008, he continued studying piano with Professor Miriam Quero and from 2009 with Professor Hector Ojeda at the Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Conservatory. In the same year he performed as a pianist with the orchestra "Orquesta de las culturas".
The year before his admission to college, he was being prepared by Professor Cecilia Maqueda at the Amadeus Institute in San Luis, after successfully passing the entrance exams in 2011, he began studying piano at the UNCuyo Faculty of Arts and Design in Mendoza, under the mentorship of Prof. Hugo Cerúsica and parallel studies of choral conducting under the mentorship of prof. Ricardo Portilla.
In 2012, he took over the Mendoza University Student Choir, and in 2014, the Girls' Choir of the Portezuelo School and the Children's Choir of the San Francisco Javier School, where he worked until 2016.
At the beginning of his studies, he joined the Coro universitario de Mendoza Choir under the baton of Silvana Vallesi, and accompanied them in 2011 as a singer and pianist on a tour of Europe, in 2013 on a tour in Colombia, and in 2017 at the Marktoberdorf International Choral Competition, where one of his original Malambo, a composition for mixed choir, piano and bombo legüero was premiered. In July 2016 he was a member of the World Youth Choir.
Since moving to Slovenia in 2019, he has been working as a piano teacher and accompanist at the Do Re Mi Music Center in Bled. Since then, he has been working as an arranger, composer and accompanist with Slovenian and foreign musicians musicians. One of the most prominent projects of this kind is Aurora, which was performed by the Carmen Manet Choir.
In 2020, he was chosen to lead the tenor section of the World Youth Choir, but dropped out due to Covid-19.
