ČOPI Žiga (2002) initially completed violin studies at the Koper Music School, later the double bass and the guitar, which he continued as his main subject at the Koper Art Gymnasium. His general creativity led him to study composition at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana in the class of Uroš Rojko. In 2021, at the APZ Maribor "Pójmo zaj, pojdimo zdaj" composition competition, he received the award for the best composition by a young composer born after 1996. In 2022, within the framework of the Academy of Music, he participated in the master class of the German composer Moritz Eggert, where he was choosen for the final concert with his voice & piano piece for the concert. As a singer, he participates in various renowned choirs, which partly also serve as a source of his compositional inspiration. He also attends solo singing class at the KGBL music school under the direction of Edita Garčević Koželj. In 2021, at the international solo singing competition Aegis carminis, he reached the finals and achieved 3rd place and received special awards: for the best male soloist, for the best performance of a composition written between 1946-1990, for impressive stage presence and musical expression, in the same year, at the IMMCC Maribor competition, he won 1st place and a gold award in the 2nd category. A year later, at the national competition Temsig 2022, he achieved 1st place and received a gold award.
