KRAVOS Marko

KRAVOS Marko (born 1943) is a Trst/Trieste poet, translator and writer for children. He is the recipient of numerous awards: in Slovenia, the Prešeren Fund and the Veronika Gold Medal for poetry, as well as Schwentner's recognition for his work in the publishing field. He lives in Trieste. There he managed a Slovenian publishing house for 26 years, lectured at the University of Trieste and still devotes himself to creating fiction. He was the president of the Union of Slovenian Cultural Societies in Italy, the Slovenian Club in Trieste, the Slavic Society for TS, Go and Videm; and the Slovenian PEN Center in Ljubljana. At this time, he presides over the Association Reading Badge of Slovenia and in Trieste the association Skupina/Gruppo 85.

He published 18 collections of poetry, as well as his book editions for children. He has been translated and published in over 30 languages, translating himself from Italian, Serbo-Croatian, Spanish and dialect languages ​​in his neighborhood.
