VIDIC LESJAK Helena

VIDIC LESJAK Helena (11.X.1987, Ljubljana) is a Slovenian conductor, professor and composer. After graduating from the Music School in Litija (piano), she continued her studies at the Secondary School of Music and Ballet in Ljubljana and graduated from the Department of Music Theory.

She continued her advance studies at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana at the Department of Composition and Music Theory (mentor Prof. Pavel Mihelčič) and at the Department of Conducting (mentor Prof. Milivoj Šurbek). In 2010 she graduated from the Department of Composition and Music Theory with an excellent grade and special commendation (summa cum laude), and in 2012 from the Department of Conducting, also with honors.

She teaches music-theoretical subjects at the Ljubljana Conservatory of Music and Ballet.

Her compositional oeuvre includes works in the fields of orchestral, chamber, solo and vocal music, and she also writes arrangements for all ensembles and genres.
