SLAKAN Tilen

SLAKAN Tilen (1993, Celje, Slovenia) began his musical career in the music kindergarten of the (lower) music school Risto Savin Žalec, where he began to learn to play the trumpet and piano. He continued playing the trumpet at the Art Gymnasium in Velenje with prof. David Špec, and then at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana, where he graduated in the class of prof. Stanko Arnold.

During his studies of trumpet, he also studied composition in parallel and then, after graduation, he enrolled in the master's study of music-theoretical pedagogy, majoring in composition with prof. Marko Mihevc. He is currently continuing his music education with a doctoral study at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana under the mentorship of dr. Andrej Misson in the field of music theory and composition.
