KALAN Pavle (March 9, 1929 in Ljubljana, Slovenia - February 11, 2005, Šempeter pri Gorici, Slovenia), teacher of music education, theory, piano, lecturer in music teaching methodology, director of Music Schools Murska Sobota and Tolmin, music editor at Radio Ljubljana, pedagogical consultant at the Institute for Education, editor-in-chief of music periodical "Grlica", choirmaster of the children's radio choir and other choirs, and their piano accompanist, composer of vocal and instrumental music, publicist, reviewer, editor and editor of many didactic and other music publications and teaching aids.
