New Print of: The Beatitudes"The Beatitudes" / "Blagri" by Damijan Mocnik reprinted in the States

In 2005, Augsburg Fortress, the Minneapolis, MN based Publishing House of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America has published the 3rd volume of the series "Let the Peoples Sing", subtitled "An International Christmastide: Advent, Christmas, Epiphany".

 

Series Editor, Dr. Marian Dolan (holds choral conducting degrees from Yale University School of Music and Institute of Sacred Music) has collected 24 settings from the world's choral library for the Christmastide season. The collection includes "The Beatitudes" by Damijan Mocnik, published with permission from ASTRUM Music Publications. This score is also available through ASTRUM in the following settings:

In addition to "The Beatitudes" by Mocnik – printed with singable English text as edited by Irma Mocnik and Dr. Dolan – this collection also contains interesting settings of Swedish carols by Eskil Hemberg (1938–2004), a Christmas composition titled  "Neturtas" by the Lithuanian composer Vytautas Miskinis (*1954) and other scores from Sweden, Finland, Romania, Venezuela, New Zealand, Palestine, India, Philippines, Korea, Bulgaria, China, Brazil, Lithuania, Guyana, Malaysia, Jamaica and Mexico.
