JANEZ BITENC (1925-2005) - 100th anniversary of birth

This year we commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of poet, composer, educator and storyteller Janez Bitenc (1925–2005).

An exhibition marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of Janez Bitenc (1925–2005) was opened at the Šiška Library on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. - the exhibition will be open until December 31, 2025.

We were impressed by the little ballerinas and ballet dancers, as well as the excellent young singers and musicians of the Matija Tomc Music School / Šentvid nad Ljubljano.


The ASTRUM music publishing house has published a jubilee sheet music collection, Janez Bitenc : NAJLJUBŠE OTROŠKE PESMI / FAVORITE CHILDREN'S SONGS, on the 100th anniversary of the birth of Janez Bitenc (1925–2005). 












Grob skladatelja Janeza BITENCa in njegove žene Majde Bitenc na večer po obletni sveti maši 25. oktobra 2025 na pokopališču ob cerkvi v Šentvidu nad Ljubljano.
