TAVČAR Aljoša

TAVČAR Aljoša (born 1971,​ Trieste, Italy) he attended the Trieste State Conservatory of Music “Giuseppe Tartini”, where he studied bassoon with Vojko Cesar, and Music School Glasbena Matica “Marij Kogoj”, where he studied piano with Aleksander Rojc and composition with the Slovenian​ composer Aldo Kumar.

He performs in freelance orchestras and various chamber music groups. His experience includes the​ symphonic orchestras “Città di Trieste”, “Città di Monfalcone”, “Città di Portogruaro”, Musikfreunde Braunau-Simbach, etc. Tavčar has also performed the most important masterpieces​ of the sacred repertoire (including Mozart's ​Coronation Mass and Requiem​, Händel's ​Messiah and Puccini's​ Messa di Gloria) and the​ symphonic literature​ (Beethoven and Mozart symphonies, Mozart, Schumann and Grieg piano concertos, etc.). His performances include also radio & television broadcasts and recordings. 

Tavčar has recorded for the RAI Radio Televisione Italiana, RTV Slovenija, TV Koper/Capodistria, Pop TV, TV Primorka and the internet TV ​station Luxa TV. He also collaborated for many years with the Trieste State Conservatory Orchestra and Wind Chamber Ensemble as bassoo​n player, and with Glasbena Matica “Marij Kogoj” as pianist.
