NAMRE  Anton

NAMRE Anton (January 7, 1812, Stari trg pri Ložu, Slovenia - September 13, 1893, Šmartno pod Šmarno goro, Slovenia), a priest, religious poet and writer, studied in Ljubljana, first humanism (1825-31), philosophy (1831-33) and theology (1833-37). Already as a theologian, a third-year student, he was ordained a priest on 3 August 1836 and sent to Poljane above Škofja Loka. In May 1864 he became a parish priest in Šmartno pod Šmarno goro, where he served until his retirement in March 1893, but he remained in Šmartno until his death and was buried there.
