POMPE Urška

After graduating in composition at the Ljubljana Academy of Music (Prof. Dane Škerl), POMPE Urška(born 1969, Jesenice, Slovenia) continued her postgraduate studies at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, Hungary (composition, chamber music, solfeggio) and Basel, Switzerland, R. Moser). During her studies, she supplemented her knowledge at international master classes and meetings,. Working with renowned composers and instrumentalists play a very important role in her creative maturation: composition - Brian Ferneyhough, James Dillon (Royaumont, Paris), Gyorgy Kurtag, H. Lachenmann, Ivan Fedele , F. B. Mache (Avignon), Jonathan Harvey (Szombathely), Sofia Gubaidulina (Salzburg), piano: Pierre-Laurent Aimard, chamber music: Perenyi Miklos, Gulyas Marta.
She has received several awards and recognitions for her work so far, in 2007 also the state award of the Prešeren Fund for works of music art in the last two years.
