NIGRO Lo Walter
NIGRO Lo Walter (b. 1957). In 1984, he graduated in piano at the conservatory "G. Tartini" in Trieste (Italy), in 1985 he graduated also there in conducting, in 1986-88 he studied at the "Mozarteum", Salzburg (Austria) and in 1999 he also studied choral conducting at the University of Mississippi, Oxford (USA), Ph.D. Jerry Jordan. In 2022, he also graduated from the Academy of Music of the University of Ljubljana.
He was accompanist and choirmaster in Spoleto, Italy (1989), Teatro Verdi, Trieste, Italy (1989-90), Teatro La Fenice, Venice, Italy (1991-92), Opera and Ballet, Ljubljana, Slovenia (1992-94). and elsewhere.
Currently (2001 -) he is employed at the conservatory "G. Tartini», Trieste, Italy.
He led the "Accademia Musicale Universitaria di Trieste" (1984-1989), the Mixed Choir "Obala", Koper, Slovenia (1990-1998), the Mixed Choir "Ljubljanski Madrigalisti", Ljubljana, Slovenia (2001-2002) and the Chamber Choir "Julius », Trieste, Italy (2006-).
